Conversion of Zürich/McIntosh classification as observed by the USAF observatories


The monthly values as observed by the CV-Network observers have a very good accordance with the ones observed by the observatories, except for

des.88, jan.90, feb.90, okt.90, des.90, jan.91, feb.91, mar.91, mai.91, jun.91, aug.91, sep.91, nov.91, des.91, feb.92, mar.92, apr.92, nov.92, des.92, apr.93, mai.93, jul.93, aug.93, des.93

where the differences exceeded by 20.


The k-factor as observed by the observatories is presented as a graph.  The k-factor appearing at its best advantage is 1, i.e. excactly at average.

The k-factor is highest at San Vito, and lowest at Boulder, except that Manila had the highest only for 1986.  Palehua at Hawaii was closest to the average.
